OUR CACAO & SUSTAINABILITY:
At Cheerful Buddha we care as much about providing ethically-sourced chocolate as we do ensuring it tastes amazing! The cocoa beans are sourced from a family-owned business in Colombia who have grown cocoa for over a century. They harvest their own beans and work alongside other cocoa farmers to create sustainable relationships along the supply chain.
Due to the independent approach to their farming, the cocoa supplier has been able to invest in local community projects such as helping to build numerous schools.
Slavery and child exploitation is a problem where many larger companies source their beans. Each carefully considered link in our supply chain means you can enjoy our chocolate with a clear conscience.
